Glamour magazine has named Hollywood stars Sandra Bullock and Queen Latifah among their Women Of The Year at this year’s editon of their annual awards. Sandra Bullock was tagged with the awards moniker of The Undercover Activist for her million dollar donations to charity. Her first donation was made following Spetember 11th, and the next was made after the Indian Ocean Tsunami on December 2004. Both were made quietly, without much fanfare or publicity, hence The Undercover Activist award.
Bullock accepted her trophy at New YorkCity’s Carnegie Hall, and thanked her fellow Women Of The Year, like “An Inconvenient Truth” producer Laurie David, Somaly Mam, Imam, Rachael Scdoris, Billie Jean King, Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori, Angela, Rosita and Margherita Missoni, and Katie Couric.
Queen Latifah, whose real name is Dana Owens, was presented with The Role Model award by her “Chicago” co-star Catherine Zeta-Jones.
